It’s been three years since A. Lange & Sohne made the first clock Lange Zeitwerk. The factory will build Saxon hours a limited edition of only 30 copies that will be available exclusively at its boutiques.
Lange Zeitwerk Handwerkskunst, which more or less means “mechanism that measures time hand made” is a special watch. The dial displays the time in digital format, but not as any one: it, according to the most traditional and deep canons inspired Saxon watchmaking – as the Great Date Glashutte – all ‘digital clock to 5 minutes ohann J Christian Friedrich Gutkaes was commissioned to build a mid-nineteenth century to the theater Semperoper in Dresden.
That’s it for a watch that version in 950 platinum – “standard” limited to 100 copies comes close to 100,000 Eur price? Of course not. Just unveiled Lange Zeitwerk immediately won “L’Aiguille d’Or” (Golden Hand) to the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve 2009.
