Yacht-Master Rolex ROLESIUM was revised and presented at the show in Baselworld 2012. The new version features updates both aesthetically and in the mechanical movement. Born in 1992 and designed for use in sports, unlike the Rolex Yacht-Master II last year, lacks the essential function of the countdown during the regattas.
The system of bidirectional rotation of the nut of this new Yacht-Master and was completely redesigned: it is based on a toothed wheel to 120 positions and a spring that offers a pair of triangular constant rotation in both directions. Made entirely of 950 platinum, polished with black markings embossed frosted background, you can read periods of time up to 60 minutes.
The new blue dial inspired by the sea has Chromalight indexes and hands coated with luminous material to be read in the dark.
The Oyster case of 40 mm Yacht-Master, water resistant to 100 meters, is made from a solid block of 904L stainless steel. The corona charging, featuring the patented triple-sealing and protected by special TRIPLOCK shoulders formed in the body of the case middle, and firmly screwed to the case. The glass, magnifying mammoth CYCLOPE at 3 to facilitate the reading of data, and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
The Yacht-Master 2012, features the Calibre 3135, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex, Rolex Submariner also installed by 2010. And ‘certified chronometer by the COSC. The rocker arm and provided with spiral PARACHROM blue, composed of an alloy produced and patented by Rolex. It has a great resistance to magnetic fields and excellent stability to temperature.
Rolex declares that in case of impact, is able to maintain the oscillations accurate up to ten times more of a traditional spiral. The date is snap-action and is provided with a stopping device for the precise adjustment of the second time.
Complete the new Yacht-Master Steel Oyster bracelet with security clasp Oysterlock generation. It combines simplicity of use in a security system which prevents any accidental opening. Developed and patented by Rolex, characterized by massive meshes, reflects the quality and savoir-faire of the house in Geneva working with resistant 904L steel. If necessary, the cuff is provided with an extension that allows rapid EASYLINK to increase the length of about 5 mm.
