Festina history begins in 1977 when Miguel Rodriguez returns to Barcelona after working for the Swiss watch industry. In 1979, Rodriguez bought the Lotus brand with a view to founding a new company quality watch. Given the success of the brand acquired Lotus in 1984 creating Festina Festina SA company


The Festina brand, founded in 1902 in La Chaux de Fonds (Switzerland) grows in importance five years after purchase. In 1989, Festina SA expands its production base by acquiring the prestigious Jaguar brand, founded in Switzerland in 1945.
